Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is l. Ellis is the American producer and actress who has worked in theater as well as television and film productions well, is active across both sides of the screen. Her acting career started in the theater. Then she appeared on numerous television shows as well as independent and mainstream movies. She was known for appearing as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The series both received reviews, and she also took home a variety of prizes. Her professional acting debut in the role of Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway, she has appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In her film career, she is renowned for her performances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. In her television work, she's been recognized for her performance as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
