Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's food provides a way to get inside her world. Her curiosity grew as she left the Long Island suburbs to explore the diverse culture of Los Angeles. Carnitas, Cavatelli and other dishes can all coexist in a single menu. The menu is constantly shifting taste. What remains is her singular idea of the future and still wishing to reminisce about the past. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso, who is inspired from her Italian American heritage. It received the warmest welcome. The restaurant's version of traditional Italian cuisine is one of the most sought-after restaurants in Los Angeles. Customers describe Scopa as an indispensable local institution where Lofaso regularly serves food that is inviting genuine and incredibly satisfying. Lofaso was an apprentice to culinary masters, absorbing their techniques as well as taking risks. She was not afraid to take risks to pursue her instincts. She quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago after which she went further to collaborate with celebrities in various Los Angeles kitchens. In 2011, Lofaso joined forces together with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to open Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. Lofaso had found home at Black Market. Lofaso was able to enjoy the freedom to express her creativity that she longed for through this partnership. Black Market does not have one direction which is the reason why it was created. A meal could start with chipped potatoes and peppers with dill, followed by Korean meatballs and wings. Antonia is the anchor for this bold array of flavours. In her long career Lofaso has measured her success by her innate ability to understand her audience and remain authentic to her personality. In the course of her career, both Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars demonstrated her capability to communicate her personality outside of the kitchen. Since then she's maintained her professional career before cameras, including judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup Judge and recurring appearances on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso worked with Penguin for the release of The Busy Mom's Cookbook - 100 Recipes For Fast Delicious home-cooked Meals in the year 2012. This book also reveals about the struggles she faced when raising Xea and pursuing her studies in The French Culinary Institute. Lofaso maintains that the inspiration behind all of Lofaso's successes is the kitchen she uses. It's through this vein she keeps a steady finger on the pulse. Chefletics transforms the appearance of Chefwear with its emphasis on style and functionality. Lofaso is committed to remaining true to your values and your vision. To achieve this, she's created Antonia Lofaso Catering. The brand will provide a personalized experience for clients.
