Sharon Yvonne Stone, born on March 10, 1958, from Meadville (Pennsylvania) was the daughter of Dorothy Lawson, a former employee at a factory and Joseph William Stone, a tool and die maker. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her siblings. Stone was in second grade when she entered kindergarten when she was five. Saegertown School located in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. She graduated in 1975. In addition, she competed at the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone was able to move back to New Jersey with her aunt in 1977 to take on a modeling job and signed up with the Ford Modeling Agency within a month. After spending a year between Milan and Paris, Stone moved to Europe. Stone became dissatisfied with the model business in Europe, and chose to pursue acting instead. At the age of 20, she appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," which received mixed receptions.
